==Notes==
Unlike with vanilla runs, it's not really necessary to learn [[Nonstop/70 star|70 star]] before learning 120 as the majority of levels have significantly different routing between the two categories. Also, the Bowser stages, Bowser fights, and most of the Castle Secret stars are identical to vanilla strats. Any differences will be noted in the route list next to the links to the vanilla pages for those stars/stages.

There are many routes for 120 star involving different stage order and castle movement. The route used in this guide is as up-to-date as possible with the latest strategies for world record contention. Beginner strats, where applicable, can be found in each stage's guide page.

Note: WF LBLJ saves around 5 seconds by skipping the star door animation. The alternative (slower) route does BOB Pt 1 as the first two stars, before returning later with the wing cap.
